Courage: P.5 (3.7.18)

Hebrews 2:15
[15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Romans 8:15
[15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

2 Peter 1:3 says we’ve been given divine power for a divine nature.

Free to have dominion.

You can have as much Kingdom in your life as you want. If you do the will of God and the Word of God…you’ve allowed God dominion in your life.

Exodus 13:16-17
[16] And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt. [17] And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

In order to accomplish what God wants us to, we must continue in the Word and be disciplined in the Word.

You can’t change your future until you change your habits.

Vision produces the discipline needed to establish habits that will get you to that vision.

God will allow you to become frustrated with your present so that you develop a vision of your future.

Without courage to go forward you will go back to what is familiar.

Numbers 13:30-33
[30] And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. [31] But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. [32] And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. [33] And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Ps. 105:37

Exaggerating things is trying to justify not doing anything.

Numbers 14:1-2,4
[1] And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. [2] And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! [4] And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

Numbers 11:4-5
[4] And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? [5] We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

As you get closer to your destiny, the enemy tries to draw you back into bondage.

God can not give you your destiny until you are tired of your past.

God can not give you your future until you are fed up with your present.

The promises of God secure the things God has for you so that people of faith obtain them.

1 Corinthians 10:1-6
[1] Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; [2] And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; [3] And did all eat the same spiritual meat; [4] And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. [5] But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. [6] Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
