Strengths and Weaknesses: P.6 (5.9.18)

Galatians 6:1-4
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

Every individual has strengths and weaknesses.

Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit will remove burdens and destroy yokes.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is when the Holy Spirit rubs off an ability on you that you otherwise wouldnt have.

7 anointings of the Holy Spirit according to Isaiah 11:2:
Spirit of the Lord
Wisdom
Understanding
Counsel
Might
Knowledge
Fear of the Lord

Isaiah 11:2
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord ;

If you don’t recognize your weaknesses you will not pull on the strength that is available to you from the Holy Spirit.

Every born again believer has been filled with the Spirit of Christ.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Luke 4:17-19
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

In Acts 11:26 Christians were defined as believers who looked, walked and acted like Jesus did.

A Christian is one who walks in the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Only the Holy Spirit can remove burdens and destroy yokes.

You can duplicate the method but you can’t duplicate the result.

The way God works in us is from the inside out.

If our strengths are tolerated, we are not fully operating in the anointing of our strengths. Our strengths should be celebrated.

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Samuel 10:6
And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

John 12:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Romans 6:5
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

We need to be transformed by the Spirit of God.

Hebrews 5:12-14
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

As we mature in the Word our senses get exercised and our discernment grows. This increases our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
