The Impossible Vision: Tim Euler (1.16.19)

Nehemiah 2:20
Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

All God-ordained visions seem impossible at first.

Nehemiah 1:11
O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Sometimes when we are called to a vision and meet opposition, we take steps back from the vision. Then we may say that it wasn’t of God but perhaps God is just refining you to better fulfill the vision.

You can only be what God designed you to be. Don’t run after a vision or dream that God is not refining you for.

Malachi 3:1
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.

God will never send you somewhere He hasn’t already gone.

In the course of running toward our vision, we should not be seeking the “well done” of anyone other that the One who created us. He has already been there and done it before we ever thought of it.

We give too much credit to the speed bumps of life. They may slow us down but they don’t stop us. Maybe the speed bumps are meant to refine us. There is no obstacle that you face that hasn’t already sifted through God’s hands first.

When God prepares you for the vision He has for your life, He doesn’t have to change your DNA for you to do it. He only has to change what has attached to your DNA since He created you.

Imagine a glass eagle sculpture. The process of glass sculptures can remind us of God’s work in our lives. The process involves fire to heat a block of glass and then a chisel to shape it into the eagle. The temperature of the fire can even change the color of the glass. He may be refining something in you.

Nehemiah 2:10
When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.

Nehemiah 4:23
So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.

Nehemiah 4:9
Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

Nehemiah 4:17
They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

When God has placed a vision in your life, keep your hand to the plough. God doesn’t lie, what He says will come to pass will come to pass. Don’t allow speed bumps to become road blocks.
