For the Rest of Your Life- P.2 (2.28.16)

Genesis 2:1-3
[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Rest – to cease and to celebrate

Isaiah 40:28

Genesis 2:9
[9] And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Romans 2: we can learn from creation
Rewarding labor deserves rewarding rest. Take time to enjoy what you are working for.

Rest helps to put us in a position to hear from God.

Exodus 20:8-11
[8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: [10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: [11] For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is , and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Deuteronomy 5:12-15
[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. [13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: [14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. [15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Exodus 8:1
[1] And the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord , Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Serve is synonymous with worship…God delivered His people to worship Him.

Matthew 4:8-10
[8] Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; [9] And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. [10] Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
There is no worship when there is no ceasing.

When you are truly resting you do not let your future have your present.

Exodus 5:1-7
[1] And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. [2] And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord , that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord , neither will I let Israel go. [3] And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword. [4] And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens. [5] And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens. [6] And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying, [7] Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

The “taskmaster” spirit was in Pharaoh. That same spirit exists today. It’s not of God, and it drives the thought that you can’t take a break. People who don’t rest will eventually quit. God doesn’t want you to quit. He just wants you to pause and cease from your labor. Trust that God can do more with you working 6 days, and resting 1, than with you working 7 days a week.

God gave the children of Israel bread daily in the wilderness. On the 6th day He gave them double so that they could rest on the 7th day.

Exodus 16:21,25-30
[21] And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. [25] And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord : to day ye shall not find it in the field. [26] Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. [27] And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. [28] And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? [29] See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. [30] So the people rested on the seventh day.

Mark 2:27-28
[27] And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: [28] Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Enjoy the moment you are in rather than being anxious about the next.

Luke 5:1-6
[1] And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, [2] And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. [3] And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. [4] Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. [5] And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. [6] And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Cease from what we are doing and celebrate what has been done.

For the Rest of Your Life- P.1 (2.21.16)

Mark 2:23-28
[23] And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. [24] And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? [25] And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? [26] How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? [27] And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: [28] Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Colossians 2:16-17
Your body will make you sleep, but your body will not make you rest.

Isaiah 40:28
God created Heavens and the Earth and rested on the 7th day.

Rest is taking time for recreation. Glory in what’s been created. Reflect and enjoy the fruit of your labor.

Rest to remind yourself why you work.

Romans 8:18-22
Some don’t know the reward of work because they haven’t worked. Others don’t know the reward of work because they haven’t rested.

Matthew 6:19-20,24-25,33
[19] Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: [20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: [24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. [25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? [33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Slow down and look at all of creation and what God has done.
Take time to do what you enjoy.

Genesis 2:2 :’rested’ is translated to mean, “to cease from labor”.

Matthew 11:28-30
[28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

RESToration- You can’t have restoration without rest.

THE SHEPHERD: 4 NEEDS MET BY JESUS PART 1
1. Acceptance
2. Identity
3. Security
4. Purpose
Luke 5:17,31-32 KJV
[17] And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

[31] And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
[32] I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

NOTE: The power of the Lord was present to heal. Yet the Pharisees didn’t recognize their need for healing.
NOTE: In the process of these needs being met, we develop Intellectually, Physically, Socially & Spiritually.

I. ACCEPTANCE

PSALMS 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Ephesians 1:6 KJV
[6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Isaiah 42:3
A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

Matthew 12:20
A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Deuteronomy 7:6
For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God:the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

NOTE: The Shepherd would “ear mark” his sheep signifying ownership.

John 8:47 KJV
[47] He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Hebrews 4:12 KJV
[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 10:27 KJV
[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Psalm 95:7 KJV
[7] For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

II. IDENTITY

PSALMS 23:1, 3
[1] The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
[3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalms 139:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP PART 3: PUTTING GOD FIRST

Matthew 6:21,24,33 KJV
[21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. [24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Deuteronomy 8:2-3 KJV
[2] And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
[3] And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

— 3 Things HIs Word will do:
1. humble thee, 2) prove thee, 3) to know what was in their heart

(See Matthew 4:4)

THE SPIRITUAL LAW OF “FIRSTS”

Genesis 4:2-3 KJV
[2] And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. [3] And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

— Cain gave “in the process of time”
— Abel gave “firstlings” to the Lord

— “First” mentioned and/or commanded 24 times specifically in the Old Testament.
— “First born” mentioned 16 times
— “First born” had to offered or redeemed (clean or unclean)

Exodus 13:12-13 KJV
[12] That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord’s . [13] And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

— Example: Abraham, Isaac – Genesis 22
— Isaac was redeemed by the lamb that God provided (a picture of Jesus).

Exodus 12:12-13 KJV
[12] For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord .
[13] And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are : and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you , when I smite the land of Egypt.

— The Israelites were saved from death by the blood of the Passover Lamb (a picture of Jesus) and their first born were redeemed.

Exodus 23:19 KJV
[19] The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk. [baby goat ritual, poured out on the fields]

Joshua 6:18-19 KJV
[18] And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. [19] But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the Lord : they shall come into the treasury of the Lord .

— Jericho was the first city in promised land. Because it was the first city taken, it was consecrated unto the Lord.
— Note: Rahab was “redeemed” by faith (the red scarlet was a token of covenant).

2 Chronicles 31:5 KJV
[5] And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.
[v.6 they brought the tithe]

Jeremiah 2:3 KJV
[3] Israel was holiness unto the Lord, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the Lord .

JESUS TAUGHT THE CONTRAST BETWEEN FIRST & LAST

See Matthew 6:19-33.

— The answer to the concerns of life (v. 19-32) are found in putting God first. It is then that “all these things shall be added unto you” (v.33).

Matthew 16:25 KJV
[25] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

— The person who puts themselves first in life, loses in life. The person who surrenders first place to God, finds life.

Matthew 19:29-30 KJV
[29] And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
[30] But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

— Verse 30 is in relation to verse 29.

Luke 9:59,61 KJV
[59] And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
[61] And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

— these men wouldn’t put Jesus “first.”

1 Corinthians 16:1-2 KJV
[1] Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. [2] Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

— Our giving should be based on “as God hath prospered” and it should be “first” [before anyone or anything else].
— Recall Genesis 4:3-4, Cain gave in the “process of time”, not first.

Genesis 4:3-4 KJV
[3] And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord . [4] And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Romans 11:16 KJV
[16] For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy : and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

— Whatever is “first” controls the rest. This is the law of firsts.
— The law (principle) of “firsts” existed before during and after the Law.

Proverbs 3:9-10 KJV
[9] Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: [10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

— If something was right under the Old Testamant/Law, does that make it wrong in the New/Grace?
— If something was wrong under the Old Testament/Law, does that make it right in the New/Grace?

2 Corinthians 8:5,8 KJV
[5] And this they did , not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. [8] I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

— This chapter deals with giving. These believers were “first gave their own selves to the Lord.”

LAW VS. GRACE:

Matthew 5:19 KJV
[19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them , the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

— Doing and teaching the least of God’s commandments is to be the great in the Kingdom.
— Breaking the least of the commandments and teaching others to do so is to be the least in the Kingdom.

Matthew 5:21-22,27-28 KJV
[21] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: [22] But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. [27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: [28] But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

— We are saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). This does not mean that we have no respect to God’s commandments or laws. Jesus taught that are hearts should amplify in sensitivity to His word under grace.

Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Faith > Fear Part 3

Psalm 91:2,5,11,16 KJV
[2] I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
[9] Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
[11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. [16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

NOTE: Verse 9 is in response to verse 2. All the benefits listed in this Psalm are based on the proclamation of verse 2, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge…”

NOTE: It is Jesus speaking from verses 3-13. He is the High Priest of our profession according to Hebrews 3:1. We see Him mediating the words spoken in verse 2 before the Father.

NOTE: Verses 14-16 convey the words of the Father in response to the words of the believer (v.2) and the Son [Jesus] in verses 3-13. His Word will not return unto Him void (See Isaiah 55:11, John 15:7).

Hebrews 2:1,3 KJV
[1] Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. [3] How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

NOTE: The “Therefore” is in response to the previous verse —Hebrews 1:14.

Hebrews 1:14 KJV
[14] Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Luke 12:8 KJV
[8] Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

NOTE: When one is saved, Jesus informs the angels. We are appointed angels at salvation —ministering spirits according to Hebrews 1:14

Psalm 103:2,4, 20 KJV
[2] Bless the Lord , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; [20] Bless the Lord , ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

NOTE: Angels have been created to respond to the “voice of his word.” We have the power to “voice” His word when we declare it over our lives (Psalms 91:2).

Daniel 10:12 KJV
[12] Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP PART 2

1. The Lord owns everything
2. You can only manage what you have in your life right now
3. God must be first

1 Corinthians 4:2 KJV
[2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Stewardship will make you free in every sense of the word.

Luke 16:10-13 KJV
[10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ? [12] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? [13] No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

There is no place in your life for God besides number one.

Exodus 20:3

Am I putting God number one in everything in my life?

Whatever is first in your life, will control everything else.

If the first fruit be holy (see Romans 11:16).

God has to be number one in my life because he owns everything in my life.

Matthew 6:33 KJV
[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you

Matthew 6:24-29,31-33 KJV
[24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. [25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? [26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? [27] Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? [28] And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: [29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [31] Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? [32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. [33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Luke 19:12-25 KJV
[12] He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. [13] And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. [14] But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. [15] And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. [16] Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. [17] And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. [18] And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. [19] And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. [20] And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: [21] For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. [22] And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: [23] Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? [24] And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. [25] (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

Am I the kind of steward the Lord has to take what I have and give it to another? Or can the Lord put more things under me because of good stewardship?

Not trusting your prophet (pastor/preacher) can hinder your prosperity (See 2 Chronicles 20:20).

You ought to be able to see stewardship.

Matthew 24:45-47 KJV
[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. [47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

God gives us seed to see how we manage it.

Ps 126:1-6
Study these verses by reading 5-6, then 1-4.
How you manage your seed will determine your break through.

Luke 16:10-11 KJV
[10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ?

Faith > Fear Part 2

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
[7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

When faith is present, fear is not! (See Matthew 8:26, Mark 4:40, Matthew 14:30-31)

There is the law of spirit and life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death.

Darkness is only the Absence of light. It has no power and only exist when there is no light.
Hate exist when there is no love.
Ignorance exist when there is no knowledge.
Confusion exist when there is no understanding.
Fear exist when there is no faith.

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (See Romans 10:17).

You have to break something spiritually before you break it naturally!

Fear affects your flesh.
Faith affects your spirit.

2 Kings 6:11-17 KJV
[11] Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? [12] And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. [13] And he said, Go and spy where he is , that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. [14] Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. [15] And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? [16] And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. [17] And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord , I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Psalm 91:1-13 KJV
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. [4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; [6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. [7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. [8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. [9] Because thou hast made the Lord , which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; [10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. [11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. [12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. [13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Make a choice to choose faith over fear.
Fear puts limitation on God.
When you make a decision to live by faith, God will put no limitation on you.
Faith puts no limitation on God and God puts no limitations on faith!
