#Blessed-P.5 (10.2.16)

Genesis 1:28-29
[28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. [29] And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

The answer to your harvest is locked up in what you already have. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, focus on what you do have. Treat it like seed.

Luke 9:12-13,16
[12] And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. [13] But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people. [16] Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

We need the Lords blessing on what we have.

Psalm 126
When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

God doesn’t bless what you don’t have, He blesses what you do have.

You may be thinking thinking that if you just had more you could do more. God doesn’t look to see how you steward or manage what you don’t have . He wants to see how you will manage what you do have. If you are faithful over little, you’ll be faithful over much.

1 Kings 17…Elijah

2 Kings 4:1-7
[1] Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord : and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. [2] And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. [3] Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. [4] And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. [5] So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. [6] And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. [7] Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

Proverbs 11:24
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

Luke 16:10-13
[10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ? [12] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? [13] No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Honor: Vol.2-P.3 (9.28.16)

Where no honor is given to God, honor cannot be received from God.

The area of your life you are not honoring God is the area God cannot honor you.

Genesis 1:26-28
[26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:18-25
[18] And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. [19] And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. [20] And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. [21] And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; [22] And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. [23] And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. [25] And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

The enemy attacks that which comes from God. He can’t touch God so he touches that which He had ordained.

Mark 4…Satan cometh immediately

Luke 22:29

Genesis 2:8,15-18
[8] And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. [15] And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. [16] And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: [17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. [18] And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

God didn’t give Adam a wife to help him manage the garden.

Genesis 3:1
[1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

The enemy always disrespects the divine order of God.

Genesis 3:1-5
[1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? [2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: [3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. [4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: [5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

This same enemy is still operating today.

1 Timothy 4…the man was not deceived

Sin always takes you further than you wanted to go, keeps you longer than you wanted to stay and cost you more than you wanted to pay.

Jeremiah 29:5-6
[5] Build ye houses, and dwell in them ; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; [6] Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

#Blessed-P.4 (9.25.16)

Galatians 3:11-14
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

You can be born again and not walking in the fullness of God’s blessing. It’s not automatic. It only happens when you line your will up with God’s Word and live by it.

Deuteronomy 21:22-23
And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

Deuteronomy 27:15-26
Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen. Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour’s landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that lieth with his father’s wife; because he uncovereth his father’s skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Deuteronomy 28:1-15
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee. And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

When you live by the Word of God you will be blessed! God desires that we live abundantly blessed. Our lives should be a model to the world of a good God!

Matthew 5:17-22
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Jesus didn’t lower the standard of the OT law. He raised it! Rightly so. In the OT, they only had the written letter (logos), but we in the NT have that and the Rhema Word (spoken) that is alive in us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 5:27-28
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The law only stopped the act. The Spirit stops the seed.

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

1 Corinthians 11:3
[3] But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

John 5:23
[23] That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 14:6…Salvation is through Jesus Christ

John 5:44
[44] How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

Psalm 115:16
[16] The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s : but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Genesis 1:26
[26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God gave man delegated authority. The authority is not ours. It has been delegated.

John 8:38,41-42
[38] I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. [41] Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. [42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

The enemy hates whatever God delegates.

John 8:43-44
[43] Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. [44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Matthew 3:17
[17] And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 4:1-3
[1] Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. [2] And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. [3] And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

The devil questioned Jesus’ sonship after the Father honored Him.

Psalm 68:5-6
[5] A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. [6] God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land .

#Blessed- P.3 (9.18.16)

Through Christ we’ve received all spiritual power, favor and endowment that brings about manifestation.

Galatians 3:7-9
[7] Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. [8] And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying , In thee shall all nations be blessed. [9] So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22)

Galatians 3:29
[29] And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Genesis 12:1-3
[1] Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis deals with the genealogy of the blessing.

Genesis 17:1-6
[1] And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. [2] And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. [3] And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, [4] As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. [5] Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. [6] And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

God appeared to Abraham by the name “God Almighty”. In Hebrew this is translated “El Shaddai”.

Exodus 6:3– God appeared to Moses by the name of Jehovah. It was common for God to appear by the name that would indicate what He wanted to do in that situation.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? [15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? [16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them ; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. [17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing ; and I will receive you, [18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Almighty, God Almighty, Lord Almighty are all translated as El Shaddai. You can trace the genealogy of the blessing of God

Genesis 25:5-6, 11
[5] And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. [6] But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country. [11] And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

Genesis 26:1,12
[1] And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. [12] Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

Genesis 26:24
[24] And the Lord appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.

Genesis 28:1,3
[1] And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. [3] And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;

Genesis 30:27-28
[27] And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the Lord hath blessed me for thy sake. [28] And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it .

We should bring the blessing of God in everything we do. Believers should have a reputation that is associated with the blessing of God.

Genesis 35:9
[9] And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padan-aram, and blessed him. [10] And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. [11] And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

Genesis 39:1-6
[1] And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. [2] And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. [3] And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. [4] And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. [5] And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. [6] And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person , and well favoured.

Genesis 49:25-26
[25] Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: [26] The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Job 7:17-21
[17] What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? [18] And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment? [19] How long wilt thou not depart from me, nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle? [20] I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself? [21] And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be .

Job 8:1-7
[1] Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, [2] How long wilt thou speak these things ? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind? [3] Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice? [4] If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression; [5] If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty; [6] If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous. [7] Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Job 11:7-8
[7] Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? [8] It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

Job 21:15
[15] What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

Job 22:15-30
[15] Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden? [16] Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood: [17] Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them? [18] Yet he filled their houses with good things : but the counsel of the wicked is far from me. [19] The righteous see it , and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn. [20] Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth. [21] Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. [22] Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. [23] If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. [24] Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. [25] Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. [26] For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. [27] Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. [28] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. [29] When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. [30] He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

Job 29:5
[5] When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;

Job 33:4
[4] The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Psalm 91:1-2,4-16
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; [6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. [7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. [8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. [9] Because thou hast made the Lord , which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; [10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. [11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. [12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. [13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. [14] Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. [15] He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. [16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

One definition of honor is delegated authority.

Authority is the right to command and be obeyed.

Honor, then, is the delegation of the right to command and be obeyed. For example, when children honor their parents, they are giving their parents the right to speak into their lives, to command, and to be obeyed.

Matt 10:40-42: We are called to honor those above, beside and beneath us.

Psalm 127:1
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

The Lord builds the home so that He might keep the city through it.

Ephesians 6:1-3
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Exodus 20:12
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Any authority that you can’t trace back to God is illegitiment authority.

Malachi 4:4-6
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord : And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law. Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. For the Lord , the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him ? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord , and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

#Blessed- P.2 (9.11.16)

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Ephesians 1:3 says that through Christ we have received every spiritual blessing.

The blessing of the Lord is a spiritual endowment that makes things happen. The blessing of God is a force and a power that is available to our lives.

rich“- in proverbs 10:22 is not limited to just finances. It speaks of an abundance of things.

Know that we are not blessed because we are fruitful. We are fruitful because we are blessed. The blessing is on the front end of things, and it’s the reason why things happen that we would call “a blessing.”

Galatians 3 shows a direct connection between the covenant of Abraham and who we are in Jesus:

Galatians 3: 7-9, 28-29
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham…There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Since we are heirs, we need to know what we are heirs to. That way we’ll know what to expect from God.

Anyone who is in Christ, all nations and all nationalities are in the same covenant that God made with Abraham. Prejudice and racism are not of God. They are a curse, and Jesus came to break that curse so that we could overcome what has separated us.

The cross points both vertically and horizontally. You can’t have a vertical relationship with God and it not affect your horizontal relationships with others. We must love God and love our neighbor as ourself.

Don’t name Christ but walk in racism and hate because Jesus said , “by this will all men know that you’re my disciples, that you love one another” (John 13:35). He also said that a house divided will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

Genesis 12:1-3
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

The earthly seed of Abraham is the nation of Israel. If you want to be blessed, bless Israel. If you want to be cursed, curse Israel. Support and elect leaders who support Israel.

The heavenly seed is the church. We are under the same inheritance and blessing that is on the natural seed of Israel.

Genesis 1:27-28
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

We can be “fruitful” because we are blessed by God. When God blessed man, He gave man dominion over what came out of the earth.

Genesis 3:17
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.
‭‭
Now, after sin, the ground is now cursed. Remember proverbs 10:22, which says that the blessing of the Lord makes rich but adds no sorrow with it.

The blessing of God is available to break every curse since the fall of man! Has life ever given you sorrow? That’s all the result of the sin curse. God wants to bring us out from under that!

When God blessed Abraham, he told him he would have a son, an heir, Isaac. Abraham got the “I’m going to help God out” syndrome and ended up with Ishmael, who was not the heir. Ishmael ended up having to be cast out Bc he was harassing Isaac. There has been warfare between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael ever since.  9/11 happened because of the war between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael.

In Genesis 25, Before Abraham died, he gave Isaac all that he had. He also gave all the sons of Ishmael gifts. How did he have anything left over to give Ishmael? Abraham gave Isaac his blessing (all that he had) and he gave Ishmael his stuff. The stuff comes as a manifestation of the blessing!

An analogy… you can give a man all the gold you have, but if you give him your blessing, thats the source of the gold.

The blessing of God is the source of all things!!! His blessing will enrich your life no matter what the state of things are like around you.
