(Ps. 127:3, Deut. 6:7-9, Deut. 11:19, Ps. 78:4-5, Prov. 22:6, Mal. 2:15, Eph. 6:4)
Psalm 78:4-7 KJV
[4] We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord , and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. [5] For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: [6] That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: [7] That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
2. The education of children and youth is a 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week process that must take place from birth through maturity.
(Deut. 6:7, Deut. 11:19, Prov. 22:6)
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 KJV
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: [7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deuteronomy 11:19 KJV
[19] And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
3. The education of children and youth must have as it’s primary goals the salvation and discipleship of the next generation.
(Matt. 28:19-20, Ps. 78:6-7)
4. The education of children and youth must be based on God’s Word as the absolute truth.
(Matt. 24:35, Ps. 119:89, Isa. 40:8)
5. The education of children and youth must hold Christ preeminent in all of life.

(Ex. 18:21, 1 Sam 1:27-28, 1 Sam 3:1-10, Ex. 18:21)
8. The education of children and youth results in the formation of lifestyles or worldviews that will be patterned after the belief systems or worldview of their teachers.
(Luke 6:40, Phil. 4:9)
9. The education of children and youth must lead to true wisdom by connecting all knowledge to a biblical worldview frame of reference.

[15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Colossians 2:3 KJV

Note: God is the AUTHOR of all things, therefore He is the AUTHORITY in all things.
2 Timothy 3:1-2,7 KJV
[1] This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Matthew 6:10,33 KJV
[10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. [33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

[19] For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord , to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Matthew 18:3,6-7 KJV
[3] And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. [6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. [7] Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Offend – to entrap, i.e. trip up (figuratively, stumble (transitively) or entice to sin, apostasy or displeasure):–(make to) offend.

Worldview: the way someone thinks about the world.

Your beliefs about God, Creation, Humanity, Moral Order, and Purpose shape our worldview:

  • God – To whom or what do I ultimately answer?
  • Creation – What comprises reality?
  • Humanity – Who am I, and how did I get here?
  • Moral Order – How do I determine right and wrong?
  • Purpose – Is there a reason and purpose for my existence?
A biblical worldview is an overarching view of the world based on God’s revealed truth, the Bible, which directs our life in the world.
Your WORLDVIEW shapes your VALUES which shape your BEHAVIOR which shapes your CULTURE

[8] But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Matthew 13:37-38 KJV
