Faith > Fear Part 3

Psalm 91:2,5,11,16 KJV
[2] I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
[9] Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
[11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. [16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

NOTE: Verse 9 is in response to verse 2. All the benefits listed in this Psalm are based on the proclamation of verse 2, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge…”

NOTE: It is Jesus speaking from verses 3-13. He is the High Priest of our profession according to Hebrews 3:1. We see Him mediating the words spoken in verse 2 before the Father.

NOTE: Verses 14-16 convey the words of the Father in response to the words of the believer (v.2) and the Son [Jesus] in verses 3-13. His Word will not return unto Him void (See Isaiah 55:11, John 15:7).

Hebrews 2:1,3 KJV
[1] Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. [3] How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

NOTE: The “Therefore” is in response to the previous verse —Hebrews 1:14.

Hebrews 1:14 KJV
[14] Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Luke 12:8 KJV
[8] Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

NOTE: When one is saved, Jesus informs the angels. We are appointed angels at salvation —ministering spirits according to Hebrews 1:14

Psalm 103:2,4, 20 KJV
[2] Bless the Lord , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; [20] Bless the Lord , ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

NOTE: Angels have been created to respond to the “voice of his word.” We have the power to “voice” His word when we declare it over our lives (Psalms 91:2).

Daniel 10:12 KJV
[12] Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

SUNDAY November 1st, 2015

1. The Lord owns everything
2. You can only manage what you have in your life right now
3. God must be first

1 Corinthians 4:2 KJV
[2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Stewardship will make you free in every sense of the word.

Luke 16:10-13 KJV
[10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ? [12] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? [13] No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

There is no place in your life for God besides number one.

Exodus 20:3

Am I putting God number one in everything in my life?

Whatever is first in your life, will control everything else.

If the first fruit be holy (see Romans 11:16).

God has to be number one in my life because he owns everything in my life.

Matthew 6:33 KJV
[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you

Matthew 6:24-29,31-33 KJV
[24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. [25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? [26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? [27] Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? [28] And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: [29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [31] Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? [32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. [33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Luke 19:12-25 KJV
[12] He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. [13] And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. [14] But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. [15] And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. [16] Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. [17] And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. [18] And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. [19] And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. [20] And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: [21] For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. [22] And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: [23] Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? [24] And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. [25] (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

Am I the kind of steward the Lord has to take what I have and give it to another? Or can the Lord put more things under me because of good stewardship?

Not trusting your prophet (pastor/preacher) can hinder your prosperity (See 2 Chronicles 20:20).

You ought to be able to see stewardship.

Matthew 24:45-47 KJV
[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. [47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

God gives us seed to see how we manage it.

Ps 126:1-6
Study these verses by reading 5-6, then 1-4.
How you manage your seed will determine your break through.

Luke 16:10-11 KJV
[10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ?

Faith > Fear Part 2

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
[7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

When faith is present, fear is not! (See Matthew 8:26, Mark 4:40, Matthew 14:30-31)

There is the law of spirit and life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death.

Darkness is only the Absence of light. It has no power and only exist when there is no light.
Hate exist when there is no love.
Ignorance exist when there is no knowledge.
Confusion exist when there is no understanding.
Fear exist when there is no faith.

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (See Romans 10:17).

You have to break something spiritually before you break it naturally!

Fear affects your flesh.
Faith affects your spirit.

2 Kings 6:11-17 KJV
[11] Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? [12] And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. [13] And he said, Go and spy where he is , that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. [14] Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. [15] And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? [16] And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. [17] And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord , I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Psalm 91:1-13 KJV
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. [4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; [6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. [7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. [8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. [9] Because thou hast made the Lord , which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; [10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. [11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. [12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. [13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Make a choice to choose faith over fear.
Fear puts limitation on God.
When you make a decision to live by faith, God will put no limitation on you.
Faith puts no limitation on God and God puts no limitations on faith!

SUNDAY October 25th, 2015

Luke 16:1-3 KJV
[1] And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. [2] And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. [3] Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

– Your future is locked up in your management of what you have today.
– Manage what you have and it will determine where you can go.

Luke 16:10 KJV
[10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

– If you want more, manage what you have.
– Stewardship opens up a whole new life.
– Make the Lord the owner of everything in your life.
– There is nothing in the a kingdom that the Lord cannot bring under your management when you are a faithful steward.

Matthew 21:1-3 KJV
[1] And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, [2] Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them , and bring them unto me. [3] And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

– God is the owner of all things and can loose resources and bring them under different management.
– Give the benefit of the doubt to God.
– Believe God for big things!!

Proverbs 13:22 (KJV)
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Job 27:16-17 (KJV)
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay; [17] He may prepare it , but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

– You cannot manage what you don’t have!
– The enemy tries to get us to focus on what we don’t have.
– Your problem is not what you DON’T have but rather how are you managing what you DO have?
– Management is about what you do have, not what you don’t have.

1 Corinthians 4:2 KJV
[2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

SUNDAY October 18th, 2015

Ephesians 5:22-24 KJV
[22] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Submission – respect and honor the seat of authority of the husband as the head of the marriage covenant.

Genesis 2:17-18 KJV
[17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
[18] And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

NOTE: God created marriage for advancement of His Kingdom.

Philippians 2:6 KJV
[6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

John 10:30 KJV
I and my Father are one.

Matthew 26:39 KJV
[39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt .

John 8:28-29 KJV
[28] Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he , and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. [29] And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

NOTE: Though equal or one with the Father, Jesus submitted to the seat of authority held by the Father.

Genesis 3:1 KJV
[1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

NOTE: The enemy always seeks to undermine God’s order for the marriage.

1 Peter 3:1-6 KJV
[1] Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word they also may without the word [something said] be won by the conversation [behavior] of the wives; [2] While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. [3] Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; [4] But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. [5] For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: [6] Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Genesis 18:12-13 KJV
[12] Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? [13] And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

1 Corinthians 7:34 KJV
[34] There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

1 Corinthians 11:3,8-12 KJV
[3] But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. [8] For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. [9] Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. [10] For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. [11] Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. [12] For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

1 Chronicles 15:13 KJV
For because ye did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
[13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Proverbs 16:25 (14:12) KJV
[25] There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

WEDNESDAY October 14th, 2015

Faith > Fear Part 1: Choosing Faith Over Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
[7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Isaiah 34:16 KJV
Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate:
for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them

Hosea 4:6… Destroyed for a lack of knowledge
Isaiah 5:13… Gone into captivity because they have no knowledge
Psalm 89:34… God will not break His covenant
John 15:7… If we abide in His Word…
Isaiah 55:11… His Word will not return void

The most powerful position, is that of a born again believer to declare the Word of God in the authority of the name of Jesus.

Luke 17…increase our faith

Treat faith like seed.

Romans 10:17… Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God

Isaiah 54:14-17 KJV
[14] In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. [15] Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. [16] Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. [17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .

Oppression is when you are under illegitimate authority.

Fear is the door to oppression.

Hebrews 2:14-15

Fear is not reality

We are one decision away from living under fear or faith.

Hebrews 2:14-15 KJV
[14] Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; [15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

The fear of death shouldn’t be the motive of your faith.

Fear is bondage

You have a choice when it comes to fear…choose faith.

Walking in fear you give the benefit of the doubt to the devil
Walking in faith you give the benefit of the doubt to God

Mark 5:21-24 KJV
[21] And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. [22] And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, [23] And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee , come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. [24] And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

God is always moved by faith.

If you feel like God is not moving in your life, exercise faith in your life.

Hebrews 11:6

Mark 5:25-28 KJV
[25] And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, [26] And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, [27] When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. [28] For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

You have the power to choose faith over fear.

God responds to faith decisions.

Mark 5:29-34 KJV
[29] And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. [30] And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? [31] And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? [32] And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. [33] But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. [34] And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Delay is not denial

Mark 5:35-43 KJV
[35] While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? [36] As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. [37] And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. [38] And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. [39] And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. [40] And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. [41] And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. [42] And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. [43] And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV
[19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

When you make a decision… everything in you prepares itself to receive what you have chosen.

Your decisions set the course of your life.

The just shall live by faith!!!
Hebrews 10:38
Habakkuk 2:4
Romans 1:17
Galatians 3:11

Give the benefit of the doubt to God… make a decision to choose His Word!

Romans 8:1-2 KJV
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

SUNDAY October 11th, 2015

Ephesians 5:23 KJV
[23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Savior – Girls look for “saving”
Savior – save, deliver, heal, protect, make whole

Genesis 3:16 KJV
[16] Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Ruth 2:10,13,15,19,22 KJV
[10] Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger? [13] Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens. [15] And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not: [19] And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man’s name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz. [22] And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.

Matthew 12:29 KJV
[29] Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

Ephesians 5:26 KJV
[26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Sanctify – holy, purify, consecrate, morally blameless
Cleanse – make clean, purge, purify

Malachi 2:15-16 KJV
[15] And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. [16] For the Lord , the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

You tend to look like what you think of yourself.

1 Peter 3:7 AMP
[7] In the same way you married men should live considerately with your wives, with an intelligent recognition of the marriage relation, honoring the woman as physically the weaker, but realizing that you are joint heirs of the grace (God’s unmerited favor) of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered and cut off. Otherwise you cannot pray effectively.

Honoring, valuing.

Ephesians 5:28-29 KJV
[28] So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. [29] For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Nourisheth – bring up, feed
Cherisheth – warm, brood

Feed – The Word is compared to honey, bread, milk and meat.

Husbands are to warm (control the climate) the relationship.
Wives have the power to acts as a thermostat.

Ecclesiastes 4:11 KJV
[11] Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone ?

James 2:16 KJV
[16] And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
